Our Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy for Sahyadri Treks/Campings:

• Cancellation 30 days Prior to the trek — Receive a full refund in the form of a Trek Karo India coupon, or opt for a monetary refund with a 15% cancellation fee.
• Cancellation between 30 and 20 days prior to the trek — Get 80% of the trek fee as a Trek Karo India coupon, or a monetary refund with 50% cancellation charges.
• Cancellation less than 20 days before the trek — No monetary refund will be provided, but you will receive 20% of the trek fee in a Trek Karo India coupon (applicable only if full payment was made).
• Ticket transfer to the next batch — — If requested at least 10 days before the trip, this will incur a 20% surcharge.
• No refund for late arrival — If you fail to arrive on time, no refund will be provided.
• Illness or COVID-19 related cancellations — — No refund or transfer will be available. However, you may find a replacement for your booking.

Cancellation Policy for Backpacking Trips and North Treks (More than 3 nights):

• Cancellation 30 days before the trip — Get a full refund in the form of a Trek Karo India coupon, or opt for a monetary refund with a 15% cancellation fee.
• Cancellation between 30 and 20 days before the trip — Receive 80% of the Trek/Trip fee as a Trek Karo India coupon, or choose a monetary refund with 50% cancellation charges.
• Cancellation less than 20 days before the trip — No monetary refund, but 50% of the Trek/Trip fee will be provided as a Trek Karo India coupon.
• Cancellation less than 15 days before departure — — No refund will be given.
• Cancellation due to illness or COVID — No refund is available; finding a replacement for your spot is recommended.

Important Note 1:

• Trek insurance, train cancellation fees, and agent charges are non-refundable if cancelled within the last 6 days before the trek/trip, in addition to standard cancellation charges.
• For New Year and Christmas events, no refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 15 days of the departure date.

How to Cancel Your Trek?

• Send your cancellation request to contactus@trekkaroindia.com, applicable only for eligible refunds
• You will receive an email confirmation within 24-48 hours of your request.
• The cancellation policy will be effective from the date of your email.
• Refunds will be processed within 2-5 working days.
• We do not entertain cancellation queries over the phone; all communication must be via email.

Cancellation by Trek Karo India:

• In the rare event of cancellation due to natural calamities, political unrest, or government orders, no refund will be provided once the trip has commenced.
• If the trip is cancelled before departure, a full refund will be issued, excluding any train or bus cancellation fees.
• For Sahyadri treks cancelled due to insufficient participation, you can either shift to another event or receive a full refund.
• In case of a medical emergency, COVID-related issues, or other emergencies, the refund policy will follow the same terms as our regular cancellation policy.
• If the trip is cancelled due to transportation issues, we will attempt to make alternate arrangements. Refunds, if applicable, will be based on the expenses incurred and bookings made.
