IRCTC Ticketing Terms & Conditions
Trek Karo > IRCTC Policies
IMPORTANT: Please Read Carefully Before Booking
By booking train tickets through Trek-Karo India, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. TICKET CONFIRMATION
What You Need to Know:
- We book tickets through IRCTC certified agents using a system that predicts the best chances of confirmation based on your travel date.
- We cannot guarantee 100% confirmed tickets. Waitlisted (WL) and RAC tickets may not always get confirmed.
- IRCTC is a government system that we do not control. Ticket confirmation depends entirely on IRCTC's allocation.
2. SEAT ALLOCATION
Possible Ticket Status:
- Confirmed (CNF) - Full seat guaranteed
- RAC - Half seat/side berth only
- Waitlisted (WL) - No seat guarantee
Our Responsibility: Trek-Karo India is not responsible for RAC or waitlisted tickets. The final seat allocation is done by IRCTC, which we cannot control or change.
3. TRAIN CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES
If Indian Railways cancels or changes your train:
- Trek-Karo India is not responsible for such cancellations or route changes.
- We will try to provide alternative travel options, but you will need to pay any additional costs.
- We are not obligated to provide refunds or compensation for railway operational changes.
4. BOOKING IN ADVANCE
Recommendation: Book at least 45 days in advance for better chances of confirmed seats.
Important Points:
- Seat availability varies by season
- During festivals and peak tourist seasons, getting confirmed seats is more difficult
- Early booking increases your chances but does not guarantee confirmation
5. ALTERNATIVE TRAIN OPTIONS
Agent Assistance: Our agents may contact you to suggest alternative trains with better confirmation chances.
Additional Costs:
- Alternative trains may cost more
- Premium trains have higher fares
- You can choose to accept or decline alternative options
6. PREDICTION ACCURACY
Our Booking System: We use advanced technology to predict ticket confirmation, but predictions are not always accurate.
What This Means:
- Sometimes tickets may remain RAC even after chart preparation
- Railway bookings are subject to government regulations that we cannot override.
7. PREMIUM TRAINS
Higher Cost, Better Chances:
- Rajdhani, Duronto, Shatabdi, Vande Bharat, and other premium trains cost 50-100% more than regular trains
- These trains offer the highest probability of confirmed seats
- Premium charges are non-refundable regardless of final seat status
8. CANCELLATION POLICY
Last-Minute Cancellations:
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of travel may not be possible
- This is due to agent schedules, system limitations, and processing time
Cancellation Charges:
- IRCTC cancellation fees apply
- Service charges apply
- Some fees are non-refundable
9. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a passenger, you must:
- Check all ticket details immediately upon receiving them
- Carry valid ID proof during travel
- Reach the station on time
- Follow all Indian Railways rules and regulations
10. GENERAL TERMS
- Trek-Karo India acts only as a booking agent through IRCTC
- We follow all government railway regulations
- By booking, you accept all these terms and conditions
- You agree not to hold Trek-Karo India responsible for issues beyond our control
